Fundamentals of Plumbing and Pipe Fitting

This course is structured to offer a foundational understanding of plumbing and pipe fitting. It delves into measurement, water supply systems, Pipe materials, fittings and valves, water treatment, hot water installations, drainage systems and drainage fixtures. This comprehensive curriculum equips learners with the knowledge necessary for theoretical and practical applications within the plumbing field.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, the trainees should be able to:

  • Understand water supply systems 

  • Describe drainage systems 

  • Identify pipe materials and properties 

  • Install and test pipe fittings 

  • Read and interpret plumbing diagrams 

  • Apply local plumbing codes and regulations 

  • Install and connect fittings 

  • Design and layout of plumbing systems 

  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues 

Training Requirements

  • Science background or technical experience is an added advantage

  • 18 years and above
